Issues
Preserving Our Character
Protecting our rural character and unique quality of life requires a proactive approach to land use and community planning. I fight for responsible growth by ensuring our community's identity remains a priority in every discussion with the Planning Department.
During my time on the Urban Growth Committee, I took direct action by leading petitions for homeowners who wished to remain outside urban boundaries. This work ensures that citizens and not just developers are the ones shaping the future of their property.
Fiscal Responsibility
Maintaining a high quality of life while keeping taxes low requires constant vigilance and disciplined financial oversight. It is essential to verify that every tax dollar is spent wisely and to eliminate any unnecessary or wasteful expenditures that place a burden on our residents.
I have put these principles into practice by serving twice as the Budget Chairperson. In this leadership role, I have focused on safeguarding public funds through smart spending and rigorous budget reviews, ensuring that our county remains fiscally strong and accountable to the taxpayers.
Excellent Schools
Our schools are a primary reason families choose to call this community home, and protecting their reputation for excellence is vital to our continued success. To keep our district at the top of the state, we must prioritize high academic standards while remaining steadfast in our commitment to fiscal accountability.
I have consistently promoted these high standards while ensuring that the school budget is managed with prudence. My focus remains on protecting the quality of our classrooms and the success of our students through responsible oversight that respects the hard-earned money of our taxpayers.
